China's repression of Uyghurs extends far beyond its own borders

In March, the US Department of Justice charged five individuals with “stalking, harassing, and spying on US residents” on behalf of China’s secret police. The suspects were alleged to have worked with China’s intelligence services to report on Uyghurs and other US-based activists critical of the Chinese government.

Leaked list of people sentenced on terrorism-related charges

Nearly one in 25 people in a county in the Uyghur heartland of China has been sentenced to prison on terrorism-related charges, in what is the highest known imprisonment rate in the world, according to an Associated Press (AP) review of leaked data.

UN Rights Envoy receives $200.000 from China in exchange for whitewashing Uyghur genocide

China has given $200,000 to a United Nations human rights envoy, Alena Douhan, to help the regime whitewash their ethnic cleansing of the Uyghurs, the UN Watch reports. On Wednesday, Douhan wraps up a propaganda visit to Iran. Hillel Neuer, the head of the UN Watch calls on the US to condemn this cynical abuse of the UN.

Geneva: Marking the 27 years of abduction of Tibet’s Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima and his family, the German Parliamentary Group for Tibet renewed its voices to ascertain the well-being and whereabouts of the 11th Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima. The parliamentary group called upon China to end the abduction of Tibet’s 11th Panchen Lama, and end attacks on the religious freedom of the Tibetan people.
